Knowing I lov’d my books, he furnish’d me
From mine own library with volumes that
I prize above my dukedom.

Books I Read: Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables, by L.M. Montgomery:  Anne of Green Gables is an amazing book about a young orphan name Anne (with-an-e).  She is redhead, has quite a temper, and is very dramatic and imaginative.  This book is set in the 1900-20’s about, and is the story of her life.  Anne is adopted at age 11 by Marilla and Mathew Cuthbert, and is loved fondly, and taught everything she was not, when bringing up the Harmond twins.  She makes a bosom friend, and kindred spirit Diana Barry, and makes an eternal enemy in Gilbert Blythe.  All in all this book (and the seven that follow it) are some of my very favorite books of all time.  Even the fourth time reading them.
